Qualitative and Quantitative Researcher
I specialize in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, with a strong focus on data collection and analysis to inform educational practices. I have expertise in designing robust surveys, conducting statistical analyses, and identifying both statistical and practical significance. I am skilled in exploratory factor analysis and can synthesize complex data to provide actionable insights. For qualitative research, I lead focus groups, conduct interviews, and apply thematic analysis using both inductive and deductive approaches to uncover meaningful patterns and trends. My work helps districts and schools turn data into impactful, evidence-based practices, especially those that can be applied from neursocience.

I earned a 4.0 from UCLA’s Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, where my work was highlighted as an exemplar in dissertation writing, mixed methods research, and logic. I am the first researcher to develop a neuroscience-based framework for disrupting the underlying constructs of stereotype threat. My research has been featured in doctoral reading materials, including a logic map I created, which is also included in Dr. Diane Durkin’s Dissertation Practice: A Journal for Learning. Additionally, my work is scheduled to be featured in UCLA’s Distinguished Briefing Series, where it will be shared with the wider research community.

In addition to my research, I'm an award-winning educator/leader with nearly two decades of experience in K–12 education. Holding multiple leadership roles I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with district and state leaders to apply neuroscientific findings to improve achievement in practical ways.
